Projects
FiddlerCrab is driven by STEM curiosity and the true maker instinct: sometimes a thing does not need to exist, but wanting to understand and build it is enough reason to spend the weeks and the money. Commercial sense is useful. It is not the only reason.
FiddlerCrab
CAD, electronics, firmware, small apps and games, built because the question would not leave us alone.
Macrocyra
Macrocyra is a separate project line for industrial software, diagnostics and other products in development.
A product for making innovation work visible, structured and easier to move forward.
MacrocyraA diagnostic tool for understanding how organisations turn ideas into outcomes.
MacrocyraAn additional Macrocyra product in the innovation and technology portfolio.
MacrocyraMore professional tools will appear here when they are ready to name.
In developmentWhat we do
Parts, adapters, fixtures, enclosures and the tolerances that make them work in the real world.
Arduino, ESP32 and other platforms, from a first sensor reading to a device people can actually use.
Focused software for browsers, local networks, workshops and the machines beside them.
We have recently started building games too. The first launches are coming soon.
PrintGlow
An electronics and firmware project using an ESP32 lighting controller, printer-aware effects and a physical presence that makes status useful without opening a laptop.
RGBIC strips, local setup and the physical details that turn status into something you notice.
PrintDeck
A dedicated monitoring station for local printer setups: live status, progress and a readable view of the machines that are otherwise hiding behind their own software.
Touchscreen hardware, printer data, setup flows and a bench-friendly interface.
Personal build
A small desk clock project for Elise, because a personal object is reason enough to design the case, tune the electronics and make the details feel right.
One of the next projects to be documented here.
Curiosity is a valid brief. Sometimes there is no practical need for a thing. Wanting to understand it, improve it or make it ours is enough reason to build it instead of buying the off-the-shelf solution.
