Things we designed, built and had to fix twice.

Four disciplines, one method. Some of these are shipping, some are prototypes, and some exist only to prove an idea is worth finishing. We list them honestly, because the half-built ones usually teach the most.

01 — Fiddling & DIY

The bench where ideas get dirty.

Fiddling is not a hobby word here, it is a method: measure, print, test, swear quietly, adjust 0.4 mm, print again. Most of our products started as a part somebody needed on a Saturday.

We design for parts you can actually buy, printers you probably own, and tolerances that survive a real workshop.

02 — Game design

Feel first. Everything else is production.

A platformer lives or dies on about 80 milliseconds of forgiveness. We build throwaway prototypes whose only job is to answer whether the core movement is worth a game.

The same discipline runs through our tools: invisible details decide whether something feels tight or broken.

AnimalRun — feel prototype

One-thumb precision platforming on a phone. Auto-run forward, tap to jump, swipe to slide, grab and mantle a wall. No virtual stick, ever.

Every physics number is adjustable while playing on the phone: coyote time, jump buffer, corner correction, hold height, release cut.

A four-beat teaching rule per idea and a script that fails any level breaking the fairness rules — it already caught a jump that landed one tile before spikes.

Animals buy access, never power. The moment one character is strictly better, the rest become dead content — so the design rules that out.

03 — Software design

Workshop software that didn't wander in from 1998.

Machine software is often powerful and hostile at the same time. We build local-first, browser-based tools that connect straight to the hardware, keep your files yours and make the dangerous settings legible.

Modern stacks, boring reliability: React and TypeScript on the front, Web Serial and MQTT where the metal is.

LaserCanvas

Web-based control for laser and CNC machines: jogging, work-area setup, a vector canvas, colour-coded layers with power/speed/passes, and G-code generation.

PrintBridge

A cross-platform helper for Windows, Linux and Raspberry Pi. Credentials stay on your machine; devices pair with a short-lived code and receive small read-only snapshots.

04 — Hardware design

Small boards that earn their place on a bench.

We design microcontroller and electronics projects around real workshop questions: is my print still running, what is actually in this gas cylinder, and why is this corner of the room so dark. Then we print the box for them.

Local network only where it can be, documented parts, and firmware you can flash yourself.

PrintDeck

A 5-inch touchscreen monitoring station on an ESP32-S3: up to eight local Bambu printers, a web UI and a PrintBridge mode for snapshot-based monitoring.

A compact gas-analysis build with readable calibration, sane checks and a bench-friendly enclosure — designed for people who dive, not for a lab.

Common printer state types, MQTT parsing and device plumbing reused across devices, so a fix in one project lands in all of them.
