Nobody nearby has done it
The knowledge exists, scattered across forums, videos and somebody's half-deleted blog. We write the notes we wished we had found, including the attempts that failed.
Vision
That is the whole thing. Everything we design, publish or teach is measured against one question: does it move somebody from “I wish that existed” to “I built that”?
A maker is not a person with a workshop. It is anyone who looks at a problem and thinks: I could probably make something for that.
Our working definition
What we are actually fixing
It is almost never talent that stops a project. It is four very boring obstacles — and all four can be designed away.
The knowledge exists, scattered across forums, videos and somebody's half-deleted blog. We write the notes we wished we had found, including the attempts that failed.
Setting up a build environment should not be the hardest part of a small project. Browser installation, prebuilt firmware and sensible defaults give that weekend back.
A model file alone is not a project. Source, firmware, printable parts, wiring, a parts list and honest build notes should travel together, versioned.
It isn't — it is data. The most valuable thing we can hand anyone, child or adult, is the expectation that version one is supposed to be wrong.
What we believe
Colour, clarity and a bit of play make precise things approachable. You still get the settings, the checks and the numbers that matter.
If the notes are missing, it is a demo. Reproducibility is a design feature, not documentation homework at the end.
Your machine, your files, your network. We connect to hardware directly and send data away only when there is a reason you would agree with.
Ship the smallest honest version, use it for real, and let the next one be better. The crash tells you more than the drawing did.
The method is the part that travels. Publish how it was made and somebody else's project gets easier — including our own next one.
